Acupuncture

Acupuncture involves the insertion of hair-thin, sterile, single-use needles into acupuncture points. There are hundreds of points located on the body and a prescription of point combinations will be developed to treat your exact symptoms.

On occasion, a gentle electric current (with something similar to a “tens” unit) may be attached to some of these points to increase the therapeutic effects of the acupuncture.  The needles are typically retained in the body for 20 to 30 minutes while you relax.  It is a soothing experience and many people fall asleep during the treatment.
